SevenSpotlight tweak brings the look of iOS 7 spotlight to iOS 8

SevenSpotlight tweak

The new spotlight search found on iOS 8 powered devices looks significantly different than it did in iOS 7. The latest version of iOS puts a blur on the background, hiding the homescreen icons. While this is a subtle change it is very noticeable and for those who don’t like the blur effect it could be annoying to have. For iPhone users there’s always a choice of getting rid of something that they don’t like, as all it takes is downloading a jailbreak tweak from Cydia. If you have been looking for a way to get the look of iOS 7 spotlight on your iOS 8 device then a new Cydia tweak called SevenSpotlight can be useful.

It simply removes the blur that comes at the background so that all the icons appear like they did before. This gives the spotlight search a more colorful look. Another change that you will notice after installing this hack is, you will be able to drag down the icons further down when you perform the swipe down gesture to bring out the spotlight search. The blur is disabled until something is typed in the search field.

You can download the SevenSpotlight tweak from Cydia for free. It works on all iOS 8 devices
