Warning: 3K Jailbreak tool for iOS 9.3.1 is fake

3K Jailbreak fake

The jailbreak community is going through a dry spell as we haven’t seen a jailbreak for the latest version of iOS for months. This unfortunately has given scammers an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and trick users into downloading what appears to be a jailbreak tool but is something else. A new website and a ‘tool’ has been making rounds on the Internet these days called 3K Jailbreak. The scam cleverly uses a similar name to Chinese 3K Assistant tool. The 3K Jailbreak falsely claims that it is capable of untethered jailbreaking iOS iOS 9.3.1 as well as iOS 9.3.2 beta.

Right now no tool is available for download on 3K Jailbreak’s website. If you try to download the tool from 3kjailbreak.com, which is only available for Windows you get a popup saying “Download is temporarily stopped to fix 60% issue”.  According to 3K Jailbreak website the tool is capable of jailbreaking all models of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It even thanks Saurik, Dulib Developers and the “jailbreak communities” for their support.

If you are someone who is waiting for a jailbreak or is running an older version of iOS, then please ignore the so called 3K Jailbreak tool as it is obviously fake. Even though there’s nothing to download on its website, whenever the tool becomes available it can not only harm your iOS device but can also steal your personal data or install viruses on it.

We will let you know when a legit iOS 9 jailbreak is released, until then stay away from scammers.
