No, Luca Todesco Is Not Working On An iOS 10.2 Jailbreak

For the last few days there have been speculations that Luca Todesco who is more commonly known as his twitter handle @qwertyoruiop is working on an iOS 10.2 jailbreak. The speculations began when Luca tweeted that iOS 10.2 is still vulnerable to the underlying exploit he has used for his iOS 10.1.1 yalu jailbreak. While also indicating in the same tweet that he has no plans of working on the iOS 10.2 public jailbreak. Many blogs and Reddit users obviously missed the part of the tweet about no plans of iOS 10.2 jailbreak and started speculating that the iOS 10.2 is coming soon.

People got so excited about a potential iOS 10.2 jailbreak from qwertyoruiop that he had to clarify his earlier tweet one more time stressing on the ‘a [iOS 10.2] jailbreak is not planned’ part. In the following tweets he further noted that the KPP exploit that can jailbreak iOS 10.2 is a 0day exploit (not known to Apple) and he has no plans of burning them for a public jailbreak release. Even if he could burn his exploit the KPP is not enough on its own to create a fully functional iOS 10.2 jailbreak with support for all devices.

So there you go folks, if you read somewhere that an iOS 10.2 jailbreak is coming soon from Luca Todesco, then now you know for a fact that he has no plans of releasing one (yet). If Luca or any other jailbreak team decides on releasing the jailbreak, then we will be the first ones to report on it. Do let us know in the comments section below about what you think of this whole situation and are you going to jailbreak your iOS 10.1.1 powered device once the yalu jailbreak becomes stable.
