Flashlight Not Working on iPhone? Here’s The Fix

If you are facing trouble with Flashlight not working on your iPhone and want to quickly fix it, then this guide is for you. Here, we will look at the causes behind flashlight stops working and try to fix them quickly.

Fix iPhone flashlight not working issue

Fix 1: Check for Camera app conflicts

Both the flashlight and the Camera flash use the same LED flash located at the back of the iPhone. If the Camera app is open or if it is stuck or unresponsive in the background, the flashlight may not work.

You can quickly solve this issue by accessing the App Switcher screen (swipe up from the bottom) and closing the Camera app by swiping up on its card. This will close the Camera app and resolve any conflicts that were causing Flashlight to not work on your device.

Fix 2: Remove the case and check for blockage

If you are using a case that covers the camera module, then it might be obstructing the LED flash on your device’s back, and causing the flashlight to not work properly. Make sure your case is not covering the flash.

Also, make sure there’s no dirt or debris near the camera module. Gently clean the camera module, including the LED flash, with a microfiber cloth.

Fix 3: Restart your device

A simple restart can solve temporary software glitches that may be causing your iPhone’s Personal Hotspot feature to not work. Here’s how you can restart your iPhone.

  1. Press and hold the side button and volume up or down buttons.
  2. When the slide to power off screen appears, turn the device off.
  3. Wait 10-15 seconds and turn the device back on.

After your iPhone restarts, try using the Personal Hotspot feature again.

Fix 4: Reset all Settings

If nothing has worked so far, then resetting all settings on your iPhone can fix the Flashlight not working problem.

  1. Open Settings and go to General.
  2. Scroll down and tap on Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  3. Tap Reset and then choose the Reset All Settings option.

Your iPhone will restart, and once it turns back on, test the flashlight again.

That’s it, this is how you can fix the flashlight not working issue on your iPhone. Let us know which fix worked for you in the comments below.
