Carbon Dark Mode Tweak Brings iOS 13 Inspired Dark Mode To iOS 12

Carbon Dark Mode Tweak iOS 12

iOS 13 is finally going to bring a system wide dark mode feature to iOS devices. Apple’s dark mode implementation is as good as we hoped, as it affects all parts of iOS including stock apps, UI elements and third-party apps that support it. While iOS 13 is still several weeks away from public release, those who have jailbroken iOS devices can get iOS 13 inspired dark mode right on iOS 12.

You can add a well designed dark mode to iOS 12 using the Carbon Dark Mode tweak for jailbroken iOS devices. This new dark mode tweak gives the same look and feel as the official dark mode in iOS 13, and widely affects the iOS user-interface. After installing the tweak you will be able to see the dark UI on notifications, spotlight widgets, dock, folders, 3D Touch menus, various stock apps as well as on Settings app. Support for third-party apps is promised for a later time.

As we have already mentioned Carbon Dark Mode is heavily inspired by iOS 13’s built-in dark mode feature, in fact it adds a similar Control Center module to iOS 12 in order to allow users to enable or disable dark mode just the way they like.

According to the tweak’s developer Carbon Dark Mode tweak is 3.5 times more memory efficient than other dark mode tweaks and allows users to fully customize itself from the preference page. Users have the ability to turn off the Carbon Dark Mode feature in specific parts of iOS and disable it in apps of their choice.

You can download Carbon Dark Mode tweak from Cydia’s Packix repo, where it is available for $1.50. The tweak fully works with iOS 12.
