With iOS 18.4 Apple finally brought the Apple Intelligence Priority Notifications feature to iPhones. This feature makes it easier for users to catch up on their notifications by showing the most important notifications at the top in a separate section.

The Priority Notifications feature uses on-device Apple Intelligence to analyze a notification’s content and choose the most important notifications so that they can be displayed at the top of the lock screen. Users can still access all the other notifications by swiping up.

In this guide, we have shared instructions on how to enable or disable the Priority Notifications feature on your iPhone and customize the feature so it works best for you.

Note: Priority Notification feature is available on iOS 18.4 or later.

Turn off Priority Notifications

  1. On your iPhone launch Settings.
  2. Tap on Notifications.
  3. Under Apple Intelligence tap on Prioritize Notifications.
  4. Turn off the toggle to disable Priortize Notifications or Turn on the toggle to enable Priority Notifications.

If you want to customize Priority Notifications, then you can also choose notifications from which apps are shown in it and prevent notifications from certain apps from appearing in this section.

Just scroll down on the Priortize Notifications page and turn off the toggle for the app that you want to eliminate from the Priortize Notifications section.

That’s it, this is how you can enable or disable the Priority Notifications feature on your iPhone and customize this feature according to your preferences.
