In this guide, we have shared instructions on how you can turn on vibrations for the Messages app and have your iPhone vibrate as soon as a new text arrives.

Getting haptic feedback for text messages and iMessages is useful, as you learn that a new message has arrived even when your device is in silent mode and in your pocket.

Follow these steps to turn this feature on.

Turn on vibrations for Messages

  3. Inside the Messages settings, tap on Notifications.
  4. Here, tap on the Sounds option.
  5. Next, tap on the Haptics option.
