sudo killall -STOP -c usbd

Entering the command above should pause the usbd process on your Mac.

However keep in mind that pausing the usbd process reduce the power output of a USB port, which will result in your device charging slower than usual.

4. Once you are done charging or syncing the device, you can resume the usbd process by entering the following command in Terminal.

sudo killall -CONT -c usbd

Other possible solutions

If this solution does not work for you, then other solutions to fix this issue include resetting the Location & Privacy settings of an iPhone by going to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Location and Privacy.
