How To Unfreeze An iPhone

In this guide, we will show you how you can unfreeze an iPhone if it is stuck on the same screen or if it has become unresponsive.

To unfreeze a frozen iPhone all you need to do is perform a force restart or hard reset action, which only takes a few seconds to perform. After performing a force restart your iPhone should become available to use and the unresponsive state should be gone.

To unfreeze an iPhone perform the steps below.

  1. Press and release the Volume Up button.
  2. Press and release the Volume Down button.
  3. Press and hold the Side button until your iPhone’s screen turns off.

After a few seconds of pressing the Side button your iPhone’s screen will go black. Keep the button pressed until you see the Apple logo screen, after which you can let go of the button.

The steps above work to unfreeze iPhone 15, iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 all the way back to iPhone 8.

This is how you can quickly unfreeze an iPhone that is stuck or unresponsive. If you found this tip helpful, then consider sharing it with your friends so they can also unfreeze their iOS devices.
