WSJ: Apple Reportedly Working On 3 iPhone Models For 2019, 1 With Triple Camera System

Today joining the 2019 iPhone rumor brigade is WSJ, which has come forward with interesting information about the upcoming models. According to the publication, Apple’s 2019 iPhone lineup will consist of 3 models, same as 2018. These three devices include 2 OLED models that will succeed iPhone XS and XS Max and a LCD model that will most likely replace iPhone XR.

While stating the obvious, WSJ goes further in reporting that the top-end ‘iPhone 11’ will have a triple camera system, similar to the one we saw in recently published prototype renders (but hopefully in a better looking layout than the renders). The LCD model is also expected to get an extra lens, and will feature a dual-camera system similar to the one found on iPhone XS.

According to the report the triple camera system will be a major feature of the upcoming device. We expect Apple will be adding new camera related features that will go beyond photography. New lenses could boost iPhone’s ability to perform even better with Augmented Reality applications and more.

Unfortunately it is being reported that only the larger OLED model will have the triple camera system, with the 5.8-inch OLED model retaining the current dual-camera system.

While Apple is said to keep an LCD model in 2019, it is also said in the report that by 2020 Apple will drop the LCD option and have all OLED iPhone lineup.

With 2019 iPhone rumors in full swing we expect more details about the devices will be leaked soon. What do you think about iPhone getting triple lens system? Should Apple keep the feature exclusive to the Max model? Let us know in the comments section below. (Source)
