WhatsApp has launched a new update that finally brings the popular messaging app to the Apple Watch. Now, Apple Watch users can install WhatsApp on their device and perform various actions right from the wrist.
Ever since the Apple Watch’s launch, WhatsApp has been limited to notifications only. If you wanted to reply to a message or compose a new one, you had to pick up your iPhone and use WhatsApp for iOS.
Now that WhatsApp has finally made its way to the Apple Watch, users can not only read full messages on their Watch but also reply to messages, listen to and record voice notes, react to messages with emojis, get call notifications, see chat history, and see images and stickers on the Apple Watch.
To install WhatsApp on an Apple Watch, simply update WhatsApp for iPhone to the latest version. Then open the Watch app on your iPhone. Tap on My Watch and scroll to the Available to Install section. Here, tap on the Install button found next to WhatsApp.
WhatsApp can be installed on Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 10 or later.
