FileBrowser is an iPhone file manager that gives you root level access

FileBrowser app (1)

iFile has always been the primary root level file manager app for jailbroken devices. While it is the most popular it is certainly not the only one out there. Some alternatives include Filz File Manager, which are equally good if not better. Joining them today is another advanced file manager application for iOS devices called FileBrowser. This app allows users to easily manage their files on iPhone while supporting a wide range of file types including MP3, PDF, TXT, AVI, HTML, BMP, TOR, ISO and many more.

With this app you can create, copy, paste, move and delete files right on your device. On top of that you can also preview audio and video files without leaving the FileBrowser application. This also includes ability to preview text and PDF based files. You can even zip or unzip files using this Cydia app.

FileBrowser also lets you export files to other third-party applications such as Dropbox. A great feature of this Cydia app is that you can access the full file system of iOS with FTP and HTTP.

Unlike other file management apps out there, FileBrowser is free to download and use. You can get it from Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch where it is available under the BigBoss repo.
