If you are an Apple Watch user, then chances are you care about closing activity rings on it. Personally speaking it is my personal Apple Watch feature and if it weren’t for completing my daily activity goals and tracking them on my wrist, I wouldn’t wear my Apple Watch on a daily basis.
While you can set up a watch face on your Apple Watch in order to keep track of your fitness activity, on iPhone you either have to launch the Activity app or check the Activity widget. Wouldn’t it be great if you could see your Activity progress right on the home screen, without having to perform any extra step? Well now you can with the help of LiveRings tweak from Cydia.
With the LiveRings tweak you can get change the Activity app’s icon and make it update in real-time to reflect activity data from your Watch. Once the hack has been installed the icon will animate and reflect the real activity progress on the home screen, similar to how the Clock app’s icon shows you the actual time.
LiveRings tweak is officially supported on iOS 11, however the developer says it ‘should work’ on iOS 9.3 or later, so its worth giving a try. After installing the tweak make sure you give LiveRings permission to your Health data when you are prompted with a popup, otherwise it won’t be able to read your activity data.
You can download LiveRings tweak from Cydia, where it is available for free through the Packix repo (https://repo.packix.com/).
