Message Box (iOS 7) tweak brings system-wide access to Facebook chat heads

Facebook chat heads make messaging fun and convenient by allowing users to jump from one message thread to another with a simple tap. The problem with Chat Heads is that it is limited to the official Facebook app only and once you exit the app you can no longer use them. A new tweak called Message Box (iOS 7) changes this by bringing system-wide support for chat heads to iOS 7.

The tweak was previously available for iOS 6 only but today a dedicated version with full support iOS 7 devices was released and is available in Cydia for download. In order to work properly Message Box tweak requires users to have Facebook Paper app installed in addition to the Facebook app. It is also advisable that you delete the Facebook Messenger app from your device so you don’t get double notifications.

The tweak provides users with an option to increase or decrease the chat refresh timer that refreshes the chat heads in the background when you are not using them. While it is desirable to have a fast refresh rate so you can get your messages as quickly as possible it does affects your battery life negatively.

You can get Message Box (iOS 7) from Cydia for free. It is under the BigBoss repo.
