In this tutorial, we will show you how to tint iPhone’s home screen icons and widgets to match your iPhone’s color, the color of your Apple case, the wallpaper, or a specific color from your home screen wallpaper
The home screen icon tint feature provides users with the ability to personalize the home screen icons like never before. With iOS 26, Apple has made tinting icons to match other parts of your iPhone a lot easier.
- To start, just tap and hold anywhere on the home screen and then tap on the Edit button in the top left corner.
- Now tap on the customize option. This will open up the home screen customization menu.
- Here, tap on the Tinted option. As soon as you do this, you will gain access to even more customization options related to the tint feature.
- Next, select your desired color from the sliders. Or tap on one of these buttons.
The first button will match the tint of the icons with the color of your iPhone.
This second button automatically matches the tint of the icons with your iPhone’s case. This only works if you have the new Apple MagSafe cases, which come with an NFC chip featuring the color variant information. If you have one of those, then your icons will change to match their color when you select this button.
The next button will match the tint with your homescreen wallpaper.
The last button gives you access to the eye dropper tool, which lets you select a specific color from your wallpaper and gives the icons that color’s tint.
Make sure to experiment with different shades and switch between light and dark modes so you can select the best look for your home screen.
That’s it, this was our look at the new tint features of iOS 26 and how you can add a tint matching the iPhone’s color, your case’s color, and the colors of the wallpaper.
