If you have switched to Apple Music and want to import your library and playlist from your previous music streaming service to Apple Music, then this guide is for you.
In this tutorial, we have shared step-by-step instructions on how you can transfer your library and playlists from Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music.
Remember, you can only move playlists that were created by you.
You can perform the following steps after you have subscribed to Apple Music or are using the free trial.
- On iPhone, launch Settings and go to Apps.
- Here, find and tap on Music.
- Next, tap on the Transfer Music from Other Music Services option.
- Select the music service you want to import library and playlists from and sign in.
- Choose the items you wish to import and then tap on Add to Library.
- Wait for Apple Music to match your music in the Apple Music catalog.
- Once it is done, you will either see Transfer Complete or Some Music Needs Review for items whose exact match could not be found.
Note: On an Android device, you have to go to the Apple Music app, then tap on the More button, and finally tap on Settings. Then you can follow onwards from step 3 above.
You can also transfer music from other services to Apple Music from the web. Here’s how.
- In any web browser, open music.apple.com.
- Now click on Sign in and log in to the Apple account you use for Apple Music.
- Click on your profile picture from the top right corner and then click on the Transfer Music option.
- Now select the items you wish to transfer and click on Add to Library.
- Wait for Apple Music to match your music in the Apple Music catalog.
- Once it is done, you will either see Transfer Complete or Some Music Needs Review for items whose exact match could not be found.
This tool is available in all regions where Apple Music is available except the Chinese mainland, Myanmar, and Russia.
