Improve Apple Watch battery life
If you want to improve your Apple Watch’s battery life and make it last longer on a single charge, then you can follow these tips.
- Turn on Low Power Mode whenever possible: To turn it on, press the Side button and from the Control Center tap on the battery button (it’s the one with battery percentage). Then turn on Low Power mode.
- Turn off Background App Refresh: You can turn off the Background App Refresh feature to prevent apps from updating in the background. To do so, open Settings -> General -> Background App Refresh. Here, turn off the toggle for Background App Refresh. You can also scroll down and turn off this feature for certain apps only.
- Use Dark Watch Faces: Apple Watch features an OLED display, which uses less power when showing black content. You can reduce the Watch’s battery consumption by opting for Watch faces that feature black color more, and avoiding colorful watch faces.
- Reduce Wake Screen Time: On your Watch, go to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Wake Duration and make sure you select Wake for 15 Seconds instead of 70 seconds option.
- Turn off unused features: Turning off Apple Watch features that you do not use can also help improve its battery life. You can turn off features like Always On display, reduce screen brightness, and disable unnecessary notifications so your Apple Watch’s display does not turn on all the time.
That’s it, this is how you can check your Apple Watch’s battery health and improve Apple Watch battery life. By following these tips, you can significantly improve the performance of your Apple Watch and make it last the whole day.
