Before you begin, make sure:
- All your Apple devices are logged into the same Apple account
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on all devices
- Devices are close to each other
- Both devices are unlocked
Steps:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Go to General and tap on AirPlay & Handoff.
- Turn on the toggle for Handoff.
- Now, on your Mac, open System Settings.
- Click on General from the side pane and click on AirDrop & Handoff.
- Enable the “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices” option.
After performing the steps above, you can start using this feature. Simply copy text on your iPhone or iPad and then on your Mac, press the Command + V buttons.
Similarly, you can copy stuff on your Mac and then long-press on a text field and then tap on the Paste option to paste text on your iPhone or iPad.
This small but handy feature makes the lives of iPhone and Mac users super convenient and makes doing work on multiple devices a breeze.
