If you are an Instagram user who puts a lot of stories on his or her account, then you would know that you can save photos and videos posted to the Stories feature by tapping on the ‘More’ button and then hitting the Save option.
While this is simple enough, many users don’t know how to save a picture or video that is part of their Highlights. When you tap on the ‘More’ button on an highlighted story you don’t get the save option, instead only options for Highlights are found on this menu.
Turns out downloading an Instagram story that is part of a highlight is dead simple, that is if you know where to find the option. In this post we will show you step by step how you can find the save option for highlighted stories and save your favorite photos and videos in your iPhone’s camera roll.
Download Images or Video From Instagram Highlights
- Tap on your profile page and then tap on the story you want to download a picture or video from.
- When the story appears swipe up. There you will the list of people who have viewed your story.
- Right below the thumbnail bar for highlighted stories you should see a save button (the one with down arrow).
Once you tap on the save button then photo or video will be downloaded and saved in your iPhone’s Photos app. You can access the saved photo by exiting Instagram and launching the Photos app.
