Your iPhone 17 has an Always On Display feature that displays time, notifications, and widgets even when the device is locked.
While this is a useful feature, you might want to turn it off for a variety of reasons.
In this guide, we have shared instructions on how to enable or disable the Always On Display feature on an iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro so you can configure this feature according to your liking.
Enable or disable Always On Display
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Display & Brightness.
- Next, tap on the Always On Display option.
- Finally, turn on the toggle for Always On Display to enable this feature, or turn it off to disable Always On Display.
When you enable the Always On Display feature, you will get access to three toggles.
- Show Wallpaper: This lets you show or hide your lock screen wallpaper when Always On display is enabled.
- Blur Wallpaper Photo: This option will add a blur effect to the lock screen wallpaper.
- Show Notifications: This lets you show or hide notifications from the Always On display screen.
