Did you know Apple’s Find My Network can help you find your lost or stolen Apple Watch? In this guide, we will show you how you can activate the Find My feature for your Apple Watch and locate your Apple Watch on a map in case you lose it.
Before you begin, make sure your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone, both devices are on the same Apple ID, and you have an active Internet connection.
You can follow these steps for any model of Apple Watch, including Apple Watch Series 11 or older, Apple Watch Ultra 3 or older, and Apple Watch SE 3 or older.
Activate Find My for Apple Watch
Find My feature on Apple Watch is tied to the Find My feature on iPhone. So you need to activate it for the iPhone to turn it on for the Watch. Here’s how you can do it.
- On your iPhone, open Settings and tap on your name at the top.
- From the Apple ID settings page, tap on Find My.
- On the next page, tap on Find My and then turn on the toggle for Find My iPhone.
- Also, turn on the toggles for Find My Network and Send Last Location.
Now that Find My is activated on your iPhone, it should also become active for your Apple Watch.
Now let’s turn on Find My Network on the Apple Watch. For this press the Digital Crown button and open Settings.
Tap on your name from the top and scroll down. Tap on your Apple Watch’s name and then turn on the toggle for Find My Network.
Tracking your Apple Watch with Find My
You can track your Apple Watch on the map, mark it as lost, and play a sound on it through the Find My app. Simply launch the Find My app on your iPhone and tap on the Devices tab. Then find your Apple Watch from the list of devices and tap on it.
You can also go to iCloud.com in any web browser and log in with your Apple ID. Then tap on Find Devices and click on your Apple Watch’s name. You should be able to see your Apple Watch’s location and perform other actions on it.
