Just deleted a photo and want it back? In this tutorial, we show you how to find recently deleted photos on your iPhone 17 and how you can recover or permanently delete them.
iOS keeps every photo and video you delete in its Recently Deleted folder for up to 30 days. After 30 days, these photos are automatically removed from the device. This gives users the ability to recover these photos within 30 days and stop them from being deleted.
Find Recently Deleted Photos
- Launch the Photos app.
- Tap on the Collections tab at the bottom.
- Scroll down on the Collections page and tap on Recently Deleted.
- Authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID.
- Find the photo you want to recover or permanently deleted.
- Tap on the three dots menu button and tap on either the Recover or Delete options.
You can also tap on the Select option, and then select multiple photos or videos and recover them together to make the process faster.
This is how you can find recently deleted photos on your iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro, and either permanently delete them or recover them.
