In this article, we will show you how you can disable the Announce Calls feature on your iPhone and prevent Siri from announcing the name of the caller whenever you receive a new call.
iPhone has a useful feature that allows it to say the name of the caller aloud, so the user gets to know who is calling them. While some people might find it useful, others might find it distracting. If you want to turn it off, then follow the steps below.
Disable the Announce Calls feature
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap on the Apps option.
- Next, tap on the Phone option.
- Now, find the Announce Calls feature and tap on it.
- On the next screen, select the ‘Never’ option.
Once Never is selected, Siri will stop announcing incoming calls completely.
That’s how you can turn off the Announce Calls feature on iPhone. If you like you can also choose the Headphones Only feature, to only stop Siri from announcing calls in the Car.
