The Safari browser on iOS has a built-in pop-up blocker feature that blocks unnecessary pop-ups when you visit different websites.
While the pop-up blocking feature of Safari is great, what if you want to get pop-ups when you are visiting a certain webpage? Well, when this happens you can quickly turn off the pop-up blocker feature on your iPhone or iPad. In this article, we will show exactly how you can do this.
Remember, these steps will only affect the Safari browser on iOS. If you are using a third-party browser like Chrome for iOS, then you will have to follow steps specific to that browser.
These steps are for iOS 18 and iOS 17-powered devices.
Turn off Pop Up Blocker on iPhone
Step 1. Open Settings and go to Apps.
Step 2. Tap on the Safari option. (On iOS 17 the Safari browser is found on the main Settings page).
Step 3. On the next page find the Block Pop-Ups option.
Step 4. Turn off the toggle next to Block Pop-Ups.
That’s it, now Safari should let you see pop-ups. Make sure to refresh the webpage in Safari to allow pop-ups after turning off the Block Pop-Ups option.
To block pop-ups once again go back to Safari settings and enable the toggle for Block Pop-Ups.
