Hiding an app is simple, here’s how you can do it.

  1. Long-press the app’s icon on the Home Screen.
  2. Tap on Require Face ID.
  3. Choose between Hide and Require Face ID.

Selecting the second option hides the app entirely from your Home Screen and folders.

But where does the app go once it’s hidden? And how do you unhide it? Let’s dive into the steps.

Find and Unhide Hidden Apps on Your iPhone

After hiding an app, it doesn’t disappear entirely. The hidden app moves to a special location called the Hidden folder, which is found in the App Library. Here’s how to access it:

  1. Access the App Library by swiping to the rightmost page of the home screen.
  2. Scroll down and tap on the Hidden folder. Authenticate with Face ID.
  3. Tap and hold on the app’s icon that you want to unhide.
  4. From the menu tap on the ‘Don’t Require Face ID’ option.

When you perform these steps your selected app will become unhidden and it can. now be launched without a Face ID scan.

To add its icon back to the home screen simply access the Spotlight search by swiping down on the home screen and search for the app. From the search results grab the app’s icon and place drag it to the position where you want to place it.
