In iOS 18 users can hide apps in a special ‘Hidden’ folder in App Library. When an app is placed inside this Hidden App folder, users need to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID before accessing its icon.
This is a useful feature as you can now hide certain app icons from the home screen and App Library and only access them with authentication. This prevents unauthorised access to your apps.
You can also add Face ID protection to apps only without hiding them.

Step 2. From the menu tap on ‘Require Face ID’ or ‘Require Touch ID’ options.
Step 3. Now a popup menu will appear. From there tap on ‘Hide and Require Face ID’.
