Apple Releases iMac With M1 Chip, New Design And 7 Colors

Apple has announced the new iMac with all new design and colors. As expected new iMac is powered with Apple’s M1 Chip. The new iMac is thin at just 11.5mm thin, and features much smaller bezels than before, although the bottom chin is still present.

Apple has launched the new iMac in multiple colors with 7 color options. The front of the iMac is made up of a single sheet of glass that covers the entire surface.

Thanks to the M1 chip Apple has been able to make the new iMac super thin. The company was able to do this by replacing the bulky cooling system with 2 fans. This results in 50 percent noise reduction in cooling volume.

iMac is 85% faster than previous iMac models. It also offers up to 2x faster GPU and up to 3x faster machine learning.

The new iMac features up to 4 USB-C ports with 2 thunderbolt ports. New power connector connects magnetically and features a power brick that also features a built-in Ethernet port.

iMac features a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display with P3 wide color gamut and over a billion colors. iMac also features True Tone feature and coating for better reading experience.

On the front users get 1080p FaceTime HD camera, which according to Apple is the best the company has ever shipped on the Mac. The FaceTime HD camera on the iMac feature a larger sensor for better low light performance. Thanks to the M1 chip the new iMac offers better video quality. This allows for better audio exposure, face detection, noise reduction, noise reduction, local tone mapping and more.

iMac features 6-speaker sound system with each side featuring 2-pairs of force ‘cancelling woofers’ and studio-quality mic. Users will also be able to enjoy Spatial audio on the iMac for better movie watching experience.

Other accessories such as the Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse also feature matching aluminium colors.

iMac comes with 3 types of Magic keyboards with the first type features special keys for Emoji, Do Not Disturb etc. Second type of keyboard features Touch ID, which lets you unlock iMac, make purchases and log into websites.

iMac with M1 chip starts at $1299 with basic features. The upgraded version that costs $1499 gives users 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 8GB unified memory, 256GB SSD, Two Thunderbolt ports, Two USB-3 ports, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Ethernet port that is found on the power brick.

The all new iMac will be available for order on April 30th and shipping starts in second half of May 2021.
