Apple has just released iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6 updates for public and they are now available for download. iOS 26.6 is a minor update that brings bug fixes, security patches, and performance improvements to iPhones and iPads.
If you are running any version of iOS 26 on your device, then it is recommended that you download and install this update on your device. You can download it over the air by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update.

In addition to iOS 26.6, Apple has also released macOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, and visionOS 26.6. All of these operating systems are also available for download.
Apple had released iOS 26.6 RC to beta testers last week with the build number 23G71. Today’s release features the same build as was released last week, which means those running iOS 26.6 RC do not need to update their devices.
Apple’s release note for iOS 26.6 read “This update includes bug fixes, security updates and optimizes the Spotlight index to prepare for iOS 27.”
The only noticeable changes that have been discovered in iOS 26.6 so far include a notice that is displayed when the user has reached the maximum number of blocked contacts.
The second change is related to anti-snatching feature that Apple is developing for iPhone users.
