Earlier this week Apple released the iOS 18.1.1 and iPadOS 18.1.1 update. macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 was also released for Macs. With these updates, Apple has fixed some major JavaScriptCore and WebKit vulnerabilities that the company says were being exploited in the wild.

The JavaScriptCore vulnerability could be used to process to perform arbitrary code execution on Apple devices through malicious web content. The WebKit vulnerability on the other hand could enable attackers to run cross site scripting attack on devices with the help of malicious web content.

Due to these vulnerabilities, it is crucial for iOS and Mac users to update their devices to iOS 18.1.1.

You can download iOS 18.1.1 over the air on any compatible iPhone or iPad by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update.

The update can also be installed using the iOS 18.1.1 IPSW file, which we have linked below. You can download the iOS 18.1.1 IPSW file by clicking on your device’s name and then using iTunes on Windows and Finder on Mac to install the update.
