How to Find Missed Calls From Unknown Callers on iOS 26

Find missed calls

After updating your iPhone to iOS 26, have you noticed that missed calls from unknown callers are missing and not found in the Calls or Recents section of the Phone app? Calls from unknown numbers are also silenced in iOS 26. This is due to a new Call Filtering feature of iOS 26.

In this tutorial, we will show you how you can see all of your missed calls, even from unknown numbers, and how to change iPhone settings so your missed calls actually show up in the Calls or Recents section of the Phone app. We will also stop them from being silenced automatically.

Find Missed Calls From Unknown Callers

  1. Start by opening the Phone app on your iPhone.
  2. Select the Calls tab from the bottom. If you’re using the Classic look on the Phone app, then select the Recents tab.
  3. Now tap on the menu button from the top right corner (the one with three lines). This will bring up a menu. Here you have the tap on the Unknown Callers option.
  4. You will be taken to the Unknown Callers list page, where you can see all of your recent calls that came from unknown phone numbers.
  5. Here you can mark these numbers as known, so they are no longer added to the Unknown Callers list, or hit the Delete button to remove them from the list.

Turn off the Call Filtering feature

If you want to turn off the Unknown Callers feature and would like to get the Missed calls and voicemail from unknown numbers without them being silenced, then follow these steps.

  1. Open Settings and tap on Apps.
  2. Here, tap on the Phone option.
  3. When you are on the Phone settings page, scroll down and find the Unknown Callers toggle. It is found under the Call Filtering section.
  4. Simply turn off this toggle.

That’s it, this is how you can bring missed calls and voicemail from unknown callers back to the Recents or Calls tabs, and prevent your iPhone from silencing calls from unknown callers automatically.
