Four days after releasing iOS 11.3, Apple has seeded the first developer beta for iOS 11.4. The developer beta release, which is now available for download through the developer center on devices that have beta configuration profiles installed has been released for all models of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that support iOS 11.
While iOS 11.3 was a major iOS release that brought a bunch of new features to the OS, iOS 11.4 is expected to be a minor update that will bring performance enhancements and bug fixes to the operating system before the big iOS 12 unveil later this year.
iOS 11.4 brings back the Messages in iCloud feature for testing. The feature was added in early iOS 11.3 but pulled in later releases. Now with further testing it is likely that the feature will launch for everyone with iOS 11.4. The first beta also brings back the HomePod stereo feature however it is dependent on an HomePod firmware that has not been released yet.
In addition to iOS 11.4 beta 1 Apple has also released developer betas for watchOS 4.3.1 and tvOS 11.4.
