iOS 7.1 beta 5 now available for download to registered developers

iOS 7.1 beta 5 release

Today Apple has released the iOS 7.1 beta 5 and it is now available for download. The update has been released for all iOS 7 supported devices. Developers who have their dev accounts can get the download through the dev center. For those of you who are already running iOS 7 beta, you can download the update on your devices through OTA as well. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update.

The update has been made available around two weeks after the release of previous beta. As far as changes go in this release it is reported that beta 5 brings improvements for Siri specifically for the international users. As Apple’s release note clearly state “This seed adds new natural-sounding Siri voices for English (Australia), English (United Kingdom), Japanese, and Chinese (Mandarin – China)”.

As of now very few changes have been discovered in this update. One of them includes a redesigned arrow for the caps and shift keys.

Update: iOS 7.1 beta 5 patches Evasi0n jailbreak. It means that the final release of iOS 7.1 wouldn’t allow users to jailbreak their device and install Cydia on it until an updated version of evasi0n7 tool is released publicly. If you are still running iOS 6 or earlier version and want a jailbroken iOS 7 device then this might be your last chance to upgrade to iOS 7.0.4.
