As an iPhone user who uses and charges his AirPods Pro daily, I have been on the lookout for a 2-in-1 charging stand that would let me wirelessly change both of my devices overnight. The charging stand also needed to be StandBy mode compatible so I could use it on my nightstand.

Unboxing the MagSafe Charging Stand
Upon unboxing, the first impression of the charging stand is its well-designed and minimalistic look, adorned with the iconic CASETiFY branding that complements its overall aesthetic. The stand is also adjustable, offering multiple viewing angles, which is a fantastic feature for convenience.
Inside the box, you’ll find some reading materials and a USB-C to USB-C cable. However, it does not come with a charging brick, so you’ll need to purchase one separately or connect it to a USB charging hub.
Design and Features
The charging stand is made of non-slip material, ensuring your iPhone stays securely attached. A notable feature is its adjustable angles, allowing you to move the stand up and down to achieve the optimal viewing angle. This makes it ideal for using your device and watching videos while it charges.
The front of the stand features a white LED light that indicates when a device is being charged, and the back includes a USB port for connecting the USB-C power cable.
Attaching a MagSafe-compatible device, such as an iPhone 12 or later, is straightforward. Simply place the device on the charger, and it will magnetically attach. Unfortunately, the stand cannot rotate sideways, which would have added to its convenience.
Performance
Although it’s a MagSafe-compatible charging stand, the CASETiFY PowerThru 2-in-1 Charging Stand does not support 15W charging on the iPhone.
This charging stand is limited to 7.5W charging for the iPhone and 5W for AirPods. While this might not be an issue for overnight charging, it could be a drawback for those seeking a fast-charging experience.
Versatility
One of the best features of this CASETiFY Charging Stand is its ability to simultaneously charge an iPhone and AirPods. Its wireless charging capabilities aren’t limited to AirPods, it can charge any set of earbuds that support Qi wireless charging. The stand also supports iOS’s standby mode, allowing you to place your iPhone horizontally and enjoy Standby mode.
Verdict
Overall I am impressed by the design, build quality, and features of the CASETiFY PowerThru 2-in-1 charging stand. I like it so much that it will have a permanent place on my bedside table.
Having said that the fact that this charging stand only supports 7.5W charging on the iPhone instead of 15W charging that MagSafe supports is a big disappointment that should be considered by those who are buying it to use at any time of the day and want to place it on their desk. The lack of fast charging can be a deal breaker for many.
Having said that, if charging speeds are not your concern, then I recommend this charging stand for anyone who is looking for a neat charging solution for iPhone and AirPods.
