The special Nike+ edition of the Apple Watch Series 2 will go on sale later this month. This information was revealed on Apple’s website, which now states that the watch model will go on sale on October 28. Just like other Watch Series 2 models the Nike+ edition will also feature GPS and swimproof capabilities. This is in addition to the Nike specific features that have been added to the Watch in order to target runners.

The Nike+ Edition Watch comes with unique bands that will differentiate the watches from regular models. There are four colors of Nike+ Apple Watches that will be available to users including space grey aluminum model with black/cool grey and black/vole sports bands. Users will also be able to buy the watch in silver aluminum case with flat silver/white and flat silver/volt sports bands. The bands will be made of fluoroelastomer that according to Apple helps in reducing the band’s weight and improve ventilation. All colors will come in 38mm and 42mm variants.

Apart from Nike branding on the back the Nike+ edition will come with exclusive Nike watch faces and complications for the Nike+ Run Club app. The app however will also be available to all other models of the Apple Watch through the App Store.
