With iOS 9 Apple added some really nice features to iPad including the picture-in-picture feature and the Split View multitasking. While Apple made both of these features available to developers, not all of them have been able to integrate them in their apps. Same is true for the official Youtube app, which does not support the PiP feature of iOS 9. A new third-party app called CornerTube solves this problem for users who want to use it with Youtube by adding the Picture-in-Picture feature for it, to all iPads that support it.
In addition to that CornerTube also adds the Today widget to Notification Center, which detects if a Youtube link is copied to the clipboard and lets you launch it with a single click. It also offers the Action Extension that lets users watch Youtube videos from any application. Just tap and hold on any video to launch it into CornerTube. Support for Split-View feature is also available.
You can download CornerTube app from the App Store for $1.99. It only works with iPad. [via]
