BlackKeyboard Tweak Adds A System Wide Black Keyboard To iOS 10

If you are like me and prefer the dark stock keyboard that appears on the Spotlight search screen over the stock grey/white keyboard, then you are in luck. The new BlackKeyboard tweak allows users to have the dark keyboard system wide no matter which app or part of iOS they are currently using. The dark transparent keyboard appears everywhere, even in third-party applications. Those of you who have used the Bloard tweak would know how BlackKeyboard works, and the tweak actually mimics what Bloard has been doing for several years.

However it is nice to have an alternate tweak that also works with iOS 9 and iOS 10 jailbreaks. To download this tweak you simply have to add developer’s repo on your device and refresh your sources, after which it should appear in ‘Changes’ or in Cydia Search. While the tweak is tested on iOS 9 and iOS 10, developer has not tested it on iOS 8.

Although this is not mandatory, if you like to have a truly black keyboard, then the developer of BlackKeyboard suggests that you go to Settings > General >Accessibility> Increase contrast and enable reduce transparency. Doing so will change the transparent dark background to a solid black background. BlackKeyboard tweak is available for free.
