Add Calendar to iOS’s Notification Center With CalendarX Tweak

calendarX tweak

CalendarX tweak is a new Cydia hack for jailbroken iOS devices that adds a fully functional and feature-filled calendar to the Notification Center. CalendarX tweak adds a standalone calendar to Notification Center that is in no way connected with the stock Calendar.app. This tweak is much more than just a calendar that tells the current data to the users. It allows them to add events to any date and shift from one day to another tapping on the arrow buttons.

Events can be added to any date on the calendar by pressing the  ‘+’ button. With any new event users can also add title, location, assign a special icon and of course specify the date for the event.

The CalendarX tweak has a few settings that can be configured by the user. Oddly all of these settings are configurable from within the tweak’s own interface and not from Settings.app.

While there are many third party calendar apps available in the App Store that do the job pretty well and the stock app is pretty good too but the fact that the CalendarX tweak is a self-contained calendar that has all the features of an app is a remarkable thing by the developer.

This tweak for notification center is available in the Cydia store for $2.99 through the BigBoss repo. You will have to enable it from the notification center widgets before it will appear on your device.
