Saurik has just released the Cydia Substrate 0.9.6200 for iOS 9.2+ and it is now available for download. The release according to the change log ‘mitigates’ a storage issue on the root filesystem that was caused on the PanGu jailbreak. The new version of Cydia Substrate does this by stashing the installation target of extension. This would come as a relief to many users as the issue was preventing them from installing tweaks on their devices. Previously the tweaks were being installed in the system partition, which already has limited storage available. Now after this release the tweaks will be installed in data partition of iOS device.
If you were using the Stashing by coolstarorg, then you can also remove it as that would no longer be needed after this release. That’s not all as in this release Saurik has also been able to fix some bugs including the one affecting function hooking on all versions of iOS. The volume up to disable feature of Cydia that allows users to temporarily disable Cydia tweaks for troubleshooting has also been fixed, so it works for all users without any issues. The fix to the volume up feature would also allow users of iOS 9.2+ jailbreak users to disable their installed tweaks and the Substrate while using the PanGu jailbreak app.
If you haven’t already we recommend that you open Cydia and upgrade your device’s Cydia Substrate to the latest version.
