FailSafe enables WiFi, data and Location Services when wrong passcode is entered

FailSafe tweak

Many users keep WiFi, cellular data and location services on their iPhone turned off when they are not using them. This helps in increasing the battery life of their smartphone. While turning these services off is a good thing there’s one downside of it and i.e when you lose your smartphone. Apple’s Find My iPhone is capable of turning the location services on automatically when you put your device in lost mode however same is not true for WiFi and cellular data, which are equally important in the event of you losing your Apple device.

A new Cydia tweak called FakeSafe solves this problem by enabling all these three iOS services when an incorrect passcode is entered. So if your passcode protected device gets stolen and someone tries to unlock it by entering a wrong passcode, the tweak will make iOS turn on WiFi, data and location services. This will allow you to easily track your device through the Find My iPhone service.

It is a simple hack that can really help you in an event of you losing your precious iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

FailSafe tweak is available in Cydia and fully supports iOS 8. You can get it by adding http://evanpetousis.me/repo/ to your Cydia sources.
