InstaTools tweak lets you zoom Instagram images, save them on device

InstaTools tweak

Instagram is one of the most popular iOS apps and its popularity is increasing day by day. While the app is a gold standard for photo editing and sharing apps, it has many quirks as well. For starters, you cannot download photos shared by others or yourself on your device. The app does not even let you zoom on images. A new Cydia tweak called InstaTools solves these problems by allowing users to zoom on images that appear on their timeline as well as adding a download option to the menu.

The ability to zoom on images will greatly improve the experience of using Instagram for browsing images. It enables users to see images shared by their friends in much higher detail. The tweak does the zoom feature quite nicely as well, to zoom on any image all you have to do is long tap on it. Once you have done that the app will show the image in ‘preview’ mode similar to the Facebook app. You can then pinch to zoom on it and move around the focus to see parts of the image in better detail.

The tweak also adds a new download button that lets you save photos as well as videos on your iPhone. To save an image all you need to do is tap on the ‘Save’ button. A share button is also added that gives you more sharing options than are available by default.

InstaTools is a free tweak that is available through the BigBoss repo.
