Every now and then a new jailbreak tweak is released, which makes it hard to believe that it was created by a third-party developer and not Apple’s own software team. Today we are reporting about one such tweak called Iris.
Iris is a Messages app tweak that brings several missing features to the stock messaging app. The tweak has been so well designed that it will make you forget that it is a hack and not a stock iOS feature.
Iris offers many quality of life features for the stock Messages app. With Iris tweak you get features like message thread pinning, which lets you pin multiple conversation threads and groups on top of the messages list. A great thing about the pin feature is that it also enables users to reorder the pinned threads according to their preference.
Users also get conversation tagging feature, which enables them to add colored tags to different threads. Once you have assigned colored tags to conversations you can then use the filter feature to only see conversations with a certain tag.
You can use the Iris tweak to hide your conversations from prying eyes as well. Once a conversation has been hidden it can only be viewed after Face ID, Touch ID or passcode authentication.
The tweak also offers a unique feature right on the conversation page. It shows display pictures of various conversations right above the keyboard where Predictive Bar normally appears. Users can quickly switch between these conversations by tapping on them. This makes the process quicker since you are not required to go back to the list view, find the conversation and then open it.
Iris tweak offers a bunch of other features that make it a must have Messages app tweak. This includes ability to hide conversations from unknown senders, ability to sync all lists over iCloud and more.
You can download the Iris tweak from Cydia’s Chariz repo, where it is available for $1.99. If you own the iDunnoU tweak, then you can take advantage of a 50% discount. The tweak is compatible with iOS 13.0 up to iOS 13.5.
