Noctis Tweak Brings Dark Mode To iOS 10, Is Now Available For Download

The popular Noctis tweak for jailbroken iOS 10 has been released and can now be downloaded from Cydia. The tweak as we reported before brings a beautiful ‘dark mode’ to iPhone that can be activated on-demand from the Control Center. Noctis tweak fills the gap in the iOS operating system left by Apple, as the company keeps delaying a proper dark mode to its mobile operating system. Noctis offers a number of customization options including the ability for users to choose the level of darkness.

Users can choose between light, medium and dark shades of black for the user-interface, all of which look pretty decent. Noctis adds a dark mode to a number of sections including lockscreen notifications, banner alerts, 3D Touch menus, Notification Center alerts and widgets, folders and the Control Center. Your chosen level of darkness will affect all mentioned areas of iOS.

Since Saurik has yet to enable payment processing in iOS 10 Cydia, users will have to purchase Noctis through the developer’s store first. You can make the payment through Paypal, after which you will receive a download link to developer’s unique repository. This is a temporary solution put in place until Cydia payments are ready. Developer says the purchases will be automatically transferred to Cydia once the store is ready. Noctis costs $2 and works with iOS 10 or above.
