NotificationsX Lite Tweak Brings iOS 10 Inspired Notifications To iOS 9

iOS 10 brought redesigned notification banners that look very different than they did in iOS 9. If you are still on jailbroken iOS 9 and want to have the new notifications on your device, then a new tweak called NotificationX Lite is here to help. The tweak, which is the lite and free version of the upcoming NotificationsX brings the new look for the notifications on the lockscreen. The developer notes on Reddit that the full version of NotificationX, which is going to be paid will also add iOS 10 notification style to the Notification Center and the banner alerts.

NotificationX also supports quick actions for alerts that offer it. Just swipe left on the alert to get quick action buttons. By looking at the screenshots shared by developer Andrew Wiik one can say that the tweak does a very good job of mimicking the actual notifications of iOS 10 and it will be hard for anyone to realize that you are still running iOS 9 at first look.

NotificationX tweak supports iOS 9 running on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. You can download it from developer’s repo by adding ‘https://repo.ioscreatix.com’ to your Cydia sources.

Notifications10 also tries to add iOS 10 notifications to iOS 9, however does a less convincing job and costs $0.99.
