Do you know your iPhone has a power on and power off sound that you can enable from Settings? This is something that comes as a surprise to even the longtime iPhone users.
The iPhone’s power on and power off chime is hidden inside the Accessibility settings. This chime was added by Apple to help users with visual impairments. Even if you don’t need it for accessibility reasons, it’s just a fun way to know when your phone is powering up or down.
Add Power On and Power Off Sound to iPhone
- Open Settings and go to Accessibility.
- Find and tap on the Audio & Visual option.
- On the next page, turn on the toggle for Power On & Off Sounds.
That’s it, now every time you turn your iPhone off or on, your device will make a chime sound. You can turn this chime off by turning off the toggle.
