The Personal Hotspot feature lets you share your iPhone’s cellular internet connection with other devices. This includes your own iPad, Mac, and your friend’s smartphone or a Windows laptop.
When you enable Personal Hotspot, it appears as a Wi-Fi network on other devices. Other users. can join this network by entering your iPhone’s Personal Hotspot password.
Enable Personal Hotspot feature on iPhone 16
You can follow the steps below to turn on the Personal Hotspot feature on your iPhone.
- Launch Settings and go to Personal Hotspot. If you don’t see the Personal Hotspot option, then go to Cellular and tap on Personal Hotspot.
- On the Personal Hotspot page turn on the toggle for Allow Others to Join.
- Tap on the Wi-Fi password field and enter your desired password. This is the password others will need to enter to join your network.
- After enabling Personal Hotspot, on any Wi-Fi enabled device go to the Wi-Fi settings section look for your iPhone’s name, and tap on it. This should let that device join the Personal Hotspot of your iPhone and give that device access to the Internet.
Remember if you don’t see the Personal Hotspot option on your iPhone, then chances are it is not enabled on your cellular service. Contact your cellular service provider and ask them to enable this feature for you.
