How To Install iOS 11.3 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Following yesterday’s iOS 11.3 developer beta release, Apple has also released the Public Beta for iOS 11.3 and it is now available to download for anyone interested in trying out the new operating system on his or her iOS devices.

iOS 11.3 is a major iOS release that brings a bunch of new features to the operating system. This includes 4 new Animoji for iPhone X, Health Record, Business Chat for Messages, Messages in iCloud, ARKit 1.5 with support for vertical surfaces and more. While battery health features and ability to turn off throttling is not present in beta 1, it is expected to be added in the later releases.

The software update also brings other minor changes to the operating system including new splash screen detailing privacy, renaming of the iBooks app to just Books, new confirm with side button prompt when making App Store purchases on iPhone X and more.

  1. First of all sign up to Apple’s Beta Software Program. Remember to use the same Apple ID that you use on your iOS device that will be running the beta. Also, make an up to date backup of your iOS device using iTunes.
  2. Once the sign up process is complete open Safari on your iOS device and then open this link. Download the iOS 11.3 beta Configuration Profile for your device. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the profile properly.
  3. After installing the profile go to Settings > General > Software and see if you have an iOS 11.3 update available. If it is then download it OTA. If you are not seeing the update then return to the homescreen, close Settings app from App Switcher and try again.
