Do you find the text on your Apple Watch too small and hard to read? In this tutorial, we have shared steps that you can take to improve Apple Watch’s readability and make text easier to read.

For this we will be changing a number of settings on your Apple Watch. This includes changing the text size, making the text bold, and taking advantage of of some Accessibility features hidden inside the Settings app.

So without any further ado, let’s get started!

Make Apple Watch text easier to read

Make Text Larger

On your Apple Watch, perform the steps below.

  1. Press the Digital Crown button.
  2. From the home screen, tap on the Settings app (It’s the one with a grey gear icon).
  3. Now tap on the Display & Brightness option.
  4. Tap on the Text Size option.
  5. Increase the size of the text by tapping on the ‘aA’ button on the right side or rotating the Digital Crown.

Make Text Bold

Now return to the Display & Brightness page and turn on the toggle for Bold Text. This will make the system font bold immediately.

Turn on Accessibility features

Now you need to turn on the Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast options to get better visual clarity.

  1. Press the Digital Crown and launch the Settings app.
  2. Here, find and tap on the Accessibility option.
  3. On the next page, enable the toggles for Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast.

Optional: Use Zoom to magnify parts of screen

You can also use the Zoom feature to magnify parts of your Apple Watch with a double-tap with a two fingers gesture.

Turn this on by going to Settings -> Accessibility -> Zoom and turning on the toggle for Zoom.
