You can follow these steps on any version of iOS, and the steps should work on previous generations of iPhone too.

Use the Control Center

You can take advantage of the Control Center to put your iPhone 18 Pro in Silent mode. Just follow these steps.

  1. Open the Control Center by swiping down from the top right corner.
  2. Tap on the Bell button to enable it.
  3. Tap on it again to disable it.

If you don’t have the Bell icon in your device’s Control Center, then you can quickly add it by accessing the Control Center, long-pressing on an empty area, and then tapping on the Add a Control button. Now search for Silent mode and add its control to your Control Center.

Use the Action Button

The iPhone 18 Pro does not have a Silent/Ringer switch like the older generations of iPhone, but you can still use hardware button to put your device into Silent mode. This can be done through the Action Button.
