Are you tired of seeing your iPhone automatically switch audio from your headphones or AirPods to a Bluetooth Speaker or Car Audio? In this guide, we will share a fix that will stop the iPhone from switching audio to speakers and keep it playing with headphones.

This guide works no matter if you are using wired headphones, AirPods, a car Bluetooth, or any other audio device.

  1. First, open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Here, find and tap on the AirPlay & Continuity option.
  4. On the next page, turn on the toggle for Keep Audio with Headphones.

As soon as you turn this on, your iPhone will keep the audio with your headphones even when other devices like speakers or cars get connected to your iPhone.

While you are on the AirPlay & Continuity page, tap on the Automatically AirPlay option and from the next page select either Never or Ask options. This will prevent audio from jumping to TVs or speakers without permission.

This is how you can stop your iPhone from switching audio to speakers or car from your headphones and take control over how it handles audio.
