In this guide, we show you how you can find hidden apps on your iPhone. Whether the app has been removed from the home screen, it’s stored in hidden folders, or restricted by settings, you will find the right solution here.
Check in App Library
If an app is not showing on the home screen, the first thing you should try is checking in App Library. To do this, swipe left past your last home screen page and access the App Library page.
Here, look under various folders or use the search feature to find the app that you are looking for.
If you find the app, simply long-press on its icon and drag it back to the home screen.
Check Hidden Folder
iOS has a feature that lets you hide apps on your device. When an app is hidden, it disappears from the home screen, does not show up in search results, and stops sending you alerts.
You can find an app that has been hidden by accessing the App Library page and scrolling down. Then tap on the Hidden folder and authenticate with Face ID. Under this folder, you should find the app you are looking for.
To move the app back, press and hold on the app’s icon and then tap on Add to Home Screen option.
Check Screen Time settings
If you still have not found the app you were looking for, then it is recommended that you check your device’s Screen Time settings.
- Go to Settings and tap on Screen Time.
- On the next page, tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Here, go to Allowed Apps and make sure the app you are looking for is enabled.
Check Hidden App Pages
Sometimes apps get hidden when you hide entire home screen pages. You can fix this by following these steps.
- Press and hold on an empty area of your Home Screen
- Tap the page dots at the bottom
- Make sure all pages are checked.
